Lino or linoleum?
Linoleum Flooring In Manchester
People often say “lino” or “linoleum” when they mean vinyl, but they’re different products. Traditional linoleum is made from natural materials such as linseed oil, wood flour and cork, while the lino most homes choose today is sheet vinyl, which is more affordable and more water-resistant. Sheet vinyl lino is what we specialise in. If you specifically need natural linoleum, give us a call and we’ll talk through your options. See also our vinyl flooring range.

Yes. We keep 2m, 3m and 4m wide rolls in stock at our Manchester showroom, so you can take your lino away the same day.
Sheet vinyl lino is highly water-resistant and copes well with spills, splashes and humidity, which makes it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms. Standing water should still be wiped up promptly.
Yes, as long as the surface is smooth, clean and level. It can go over concrete, plywood or tiles. If the existing floor has cracks or uneven areas, it will need preparing first, and we’ll check this at your free measure.
With proper care, good-quality sheet vinyl lino often lasts 10 to 20 years, even in busy family homes and rentals.
